Aamir Khan had painstakingly waxed his entire body, to get into a woman's get-up for the song, ‘Dole dole’. He would spend almost five hours every morning, for eight consecutive days, getting made-up as a woman, for the shoot of the song. In fact, before beginning the shoot of the song, Aamir, being the perfectionist that he is, rehearsed for an entire day just to perfect his steps.
- Producer Salim Akhtar wanted to cast Karisma Kapoor as the heroine of the film, but Aamir Khan asked him to cast Mamta Kulkarni instead, since Karisma’s career at that point, was not at its peak. However, a year later, the Aamir – Karisma pair proved to be a huge a huge hit in RAJA HINDUSTANI (‘96).
