JUDWAA (’97) is Salman Khan’s and director David Dhawan’s first film together. Salman was also seen in a short guest appearance the same year in David’s DEEWANA MASTANA. The two, who are very good friends today, have since then done about 10 films together, including hits such as BIWI NO. 1 (’99), MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGE (’04), MAINE PYAR KYUN KIYA (’05), and PARTNER (’07). They are currently working on TOM & JERRY.
- Does the voice of Rambha, who plays Roopa in this film, sound familiar? The voice is Tabu’s, who dubbed for Rambha. Rambha’s real name is Vijaya Lakshmi and she began her film career with the screen name Amritha in the Malayalam film, SARGAM (’92). Her first Hindi film was the Mithun starrer JALLAD (’95). A few of her Hindi films are JURMANA (’96), QAHAR (’97), GHARWALI BAHARWALI (’98). Her last Hindi film to date is JAANI DUSHMAN (’02).
