- Initially, a newcomer was signed on for the Shamita’s role, and was meant to travel to Goa for the shoot. Just a few days before that, Shamita met producer Mukesh Bhatt, and expressed her desire to work with Vishesh Films, in a role, different from that of her item girl image. Bhatt thought about it, spoke to the other team members, and she was signed on and sent to Goa, at the eleventh hour.
Dia was the first choice for Udita’s role in the film, but was replaced due to date problems. When her dates were not matching with the rest of the cast, producer Mukesh Bhatt thought, that maybe it would be better to cast a fresher face in this role, and besides, she had just done a film under his banner, TUMSA NAHIN DEKHA (’04), so a different face might be good for their new film, and that is when Udita stepped in.
A resort in Goa was hired for the “Woh lamhe’ song, and huge water sprinklers had to be arranged. A big pipe was pulling the water, provided by the resort, for the song. While shooting, first Shamita complained of a foul smell, followed by the rest of the actors getting drenched. Eventually, Mohit realized that the water being pulled by the pipe was actually water from a gutter next to the resort. The actors were sporting, and the shoot was completed, using the gutter water.
